This is when Dellingr refunds your money — and when it doesn't. We try to be fair. Australian Consumer Law gives you protections beyond what we write here; nothing below waives those.
Auto-refunded, no questions
These happen automatically. No form, no email, no wait.
- Failed tasks. Every task that fails gets its model action cost refunded to your balance within a second of the failure. You only pay for work that produced a result.
- Validator rejections. If a generated brief, build, or edit fails post-generation validation, you're refunded — you don't pay for output that didn't meet the quality bar.
- Platform outages. If our backend crashes mid-task, the stuck-task sweeper flips it to failed and refunds the model action automatically. You do nothing.
Subscription refunds
First 7 days — full refund
If you subscribe to a paid tier and decide Dellingr isn't for you within the first 7 days, email support@dellingr.dev and we'll refund your payment in full. No reason required.
After 7 days — no auto-refund, but we'll talk
After the first week we don't auto-refund, but if you've got a genuine reason (the product didn't do what we said it would, a feature we promised is broken) — email us. We review each case. We'd rather refund and lose a sale than keep money from an unhappy customer.
Cancelling a subscription
Cancelling ends your subscription at the end of the current billing period. You keep access (and the current period's remaining model actions) until then. We don't pro-rata mid-period cancels.
What we don't refund
- Model actions spent on successful tasks. If the task completed and produced output, the action is spent even if you later decide you wanted something different. Use
edit_section/edit_linksto iterate — many of those are free. - Model actions you used more than 14 days ago. We don't refund usage from previous billing cycles.
- Violations. If we terminate an account for abuse (see Terms §5), we may withhold refund of the current period. Contact us if you think this was applied in error.
- Third-party costs you incur directly. If you connect your own Anthropic / Stripe / Supabase / Cloudflare accounts, those charges are between you and those services. Dellingr doesn't refund them.
Deletions and refunds
Deleting a company does not refund model actions spent building it. Deleting your account does not refund the current billing period automatically — email support if you want a pro-rata refund on the unused portion.
Chargebacks
Please email us before filing a chargeback with your bank. 99% of the time we resolve it in one exchange. Chargebacks cost us money and time that'd be better spent fixing the thing that annoyed you. If we're in the wrong, say so directly — we'll fix it.
How long do refunds take?
- Model-action refunds: instant (appear on next page load).
- Stripe refunds to your card: 5–10 business days depending on your bank.
- Bank transfers (only if requested explicitly): 3–5 business days in Australia.
Australian Consumer Law
This refunds policy is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If the service isn't fit for purpose, or we fail to provide it with reasonable care and skill, you have statutory rights to a refund or remedy that override this policy.
